It is not possible to give you an exact answer to this question as there are a lot of factors which are considered to decide it.

In this post, I will break down the most important factors that will help you understand how much you can expect to make from Google Adsense in India

First, let me tell you some important things which will make it easy for you to understand:

How Does Google Adsense Work?

Google Adsense allows Advertisers to run ads on websites that are part of AdSense.

Out of which it gives 68% to publishers (bloggers) and keeps the rest to itself.

The advertiser agrees to pay a certain amount for every 1000 impressions; it is called CPM (Cost per 1000 impressions).

So, the higher the CPM higher your earnings.

Whereas RPM (Rates per mille) is what you (publisher) get per 1000 impressions, it is 68% of the CPM.

Now let us understand what influences the CPM and how you can increase it.

When Does Google Adsense Pay?

To be eligible to get paid from Google Adsense, you need to earn $100 from it and it pays you the next month.

So, for example, if you completed $100 dollars in march, it will send you the money in April.

There are two modes of payment – EFT (pays directly to your bank account) and cheque.

Now let us Break down the major factors

Demographics  (How Much Google AdSense Pay In India)

From which country are your visitors coming?

This is one of the most important factors, which decides how much AdSense pays per 1000 views in India

Google Adsense uses Geo-Targeting to show ads to visitors.

So, a user from India will be shown completely different ads compared to a user from Canada even though they visit the same page of a website.

As companies in First World Countries (USA, UK, Canada, etc) spend more money on advertising at higher CPM rates.

So, if you get visitors from these countries you will end up making more money.

If most of your users come from these countries Adsense will pay you around $3 – $5 per 1000 views in India.

Your goal as a blogger should be to write content that attracts visitors from these countries if you are thinking of earning money from Google Adsense.

Although, there are so many other ways through which you can earn money from blogging in India

Type of Audience (How much does Adsense pay per 1000 views in India)

You might or might not be aware that Google shows ads to the audience (visitors) based on majorly two different concepts.

  • Contextual Ads
  • Personalized Ads

Personalized ads mean showing ads that are based on the interest (browsing history) of your visitor.

Google finds out about their interest by seeing the recent history patterns through cookies of that very particular visitor.

So, if your website audience is into stock marketing, real estate, and business-related fields they might be shown Ads related to that field.

And, as the companies in these areas have a lot of money to invest in promotion, it results in higher CPM.

And you end up earning more money per 1000 views in India.

On the other hand, if you are attracting an audience that is interested in low-budget categories like DIY and stuff, it will result in lower CPM.

The niche of Your Website

The niche of your website will also play an important role in deciding how much AdSense pays per 1000 views in India.

A niche simply means the topic on which you publish content on your website.

This is directly connected to Contextual Ads.

This means that the ads shown on your website will be related to the content.

So, suppose there are 2 websites:

  • One is in Pets Niche.
  • Another is in Spirituality.

So, the pets website will be shown ads for dog collars, the best cat food and all.

On the other hand, Spiritual websites will show ads related to it.

As the pet industry is a multi-billion industry the companies will be investing more money in advertising and hence will have higher CPM than spiritual ones.

So, while deciding on the niche of your website you should consider the CPM factor.

I have written an article on the best niche for blogging in India which you should definitely read.

Organic Visits

From which medium are your visitors coming?

Are they coming from social media platforms or organically through search engines?
It can have a major impact on how much AdSense pays per 1000 views.

If most of your visitors are coming from Social Media platforms, then this will drastically decrease the money you make from Google Adsense.

I have even heard from some people that their Adsense account was paused for a certain period of time as they were mostly getting visitors from social media platforms.
